ISSUE #74: Enmity with the US is dangerous, but friendship is fatal.
USA's infamous "intelligence failure" in Ukraine.
People with blue and yellow colored flags on their cars or in their social media bios might not want to hear this but Ukraine is losing the war against Russia and the time has come to play the blame game, to point fingers at who’s responsible for the loss.
The NYT published an article a couple of days ago which tells us the “U.S. intelligence agencies have less information than they would like about Ukraine’s operations.”
If you are familiar with the dirty history of the US empire, you might know the term “intelligence failure.” They have been using this term to get away with their crimes in foreign countries since the early days of this century. Like, “Yeah, we destroyed Iraq and killed at least a million Iraqis, but that was due to “intelligence failure,” not our fault.”
I’m not buying this excuse, are you? They literally think we are idiots. If the US didn’t have enough intelligence about Ukraine, on what basis did the country’s politicians and policymakers decide to send billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine that did nothing but prolong the conflict? That’s a logical question, not a “Putin talking point,” as the empire managers and apologists might say.
Given the fact that the US spends billions of dollars on intelligence operations every year, many US and Western officials have visited Ukraine since the war started and met Zelensky, do you really think that the US doesn’t know what’s going on in Ukraine? I believe that Washington has been told that Ukraine is losing the war or it’s not gonna end the way the US wanted it, so they have started the blame game.
The US officials, under any circumstances, will never admit that their decisions were wrong and their bad decision-making led us to this situation. That’s nothing more than a fantasy. Have you ever seen or heard Bush apologizing to the world for the destruction his “War on Terror” has brought in? Nope. That’s because they never take responsibility for their actions that are guided by greed and the urge to maintain the US’s global dominance. They’ll never say that they could have prevented this war in the first place.
What I see as upcoming is the entire West or the countries that were “supporting” Ukraine blaming Zelensky for the defeat against Russia. The “hero” will be turned into a villain. The man who became worldwide famous for his “bravery” during the early days of the war will again be the center of the discussions because of his incompetence. All of this will be enabled by the brainwashing of the people by the Western media which has global influence.
The US treats you as a hero as long as you serve their interests and then throws you in the trash once they have successfully achieved or failed to achieve what they wanted. The US in particular and the West, in general, don’t have any principles. Syrian President Bashar-al-Assad said it best:
To illustrate:
Afghan Mujahideen, a terrorist group in Afghanistan, used to be funded and trained by the CIA from 1979 to 1992 to fight against the USSR. The terrorist group later evolved into Al-Qaeda.
Saddam Hussein used to be a friend of the US, but once he nationalized his country’s resources, he became America’s enemy and was falsely accused of cooperating with the same terrorist group that the US itself used to fund and train in Afghanistan.
The US started the “War on Terror” because Al-Qaeda attacked them on 9/11, but funded them in Syria to overthrow Assad’s government.
The above are just a few examples that show the US has no moral values.
Friendship with Ukraine has indeed proven to be fatal for Ukraine as the country has been destroyed, millions are turned into refugees and thousands have died as a result of the US-provoked war. The US used Ukrainians and their country as cannon fodders to fight a proxy war against Russia and now that Russia is winning, they have started showing their true colors.
