ISSUE #85: CNN'S "GAFFE."
What do you expect to hear when you turn on CNN? Lies, Lies, and more Lies. Lies that push the plutocratic agenda. Lies that paint the US as the good guy. Lies that keep the public asleep. But something RARE happened in CNN’s recent broadcast when the propagandists interviewed a guy called Seyed Mohammad Marandi, a professor at the University of Tehran.
The host tried to shame the Iranian professor by saying, “How can Iran justify supporting Moscow when it is attacking a neighboring country [Ukraine]?”
To which, he answered in a way that is not accustomed to the CNN viewers. He replied, “Well the Iranians never supported the war, but the Iranians believe that NATO is to blame even more than anyone else because NATO advanced eastwards in contrast to what they promised to [the] Russians.”
“NATO helped bring about [the] coup in Ukraine, and we know about the right-wing groups that have been funded in Ukraine over the years. So, they have been suppressing the Russian-speaking population.”
He added, “NATO never supported or pushed Ukraine into accepting the Minsk accord if they had we wouldn't be in this mess.”
He didn’t only tell the truth about Ukraine to the CNN viewers who have been feeding on anti-Russian news, especially during the past 5 months, but he also called out the US hypocrisy by saying, “Iran sees it as complicated especially since NATO invaded Iraq, they have been helping the Saudis in the genocide in Yemen, and also they’ve been supporting Turkey and supporting these extremist groups [Al Qaeda, ISIS] in Syria.”
He destroyed her argument and made her look like a dumb asshole, which is what you are when you work for the mouthpiece of the most murderous, omnicidal, genocidal nation on the planet. Look at her facial expressions when the professor is answering, she’s like “Why did I ask this question to a guy who won’t hesitate to speak the truth?” And this is what I was calling rare, the truth being told on CNN.
This 2-minute-clip alone is enough to debunk every CNN anti-Russian story of the last 5 months, and I mean it literally. What surprised me is not that someone is telling the truth about Ukraine, but that someone is telling the truth about Ukraine on CNN, and what’s even more surprising is that there were not any “technical difficulties” when he started speaking.
Don’t expect this guy to re-appear on CNN because he clearly is not the one for them to promote their pro-empire narrative.
