ISSUE #99: "Supporting" Ukraine is a sham.
The current way of “supporting” Ukraine has become a source of suffering for the Ukrainians
The Western countries are sending billions of dollars in humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine and the public is blindly supporting it, but none of them have any idea who is the beneficiary of all this. The propaganda-addled minds of the Western public make them think that their governments are doing a great job when passing bill after bill in “support” of Ukraine, and the Zelenskyists worship the Ukrainian government thinking that it is perfectly using humanitarian and military aid for humanitarian and military purposes.
Remove the curtains drawn in front of your eyes by the media propaganda and you’d see who the billion$ are really supporting. SPOILER ALERT: It ain’t the Ukrainians or the military.
Let’s start with congratulating the Ukrainian MPs whose salaries were recently raised by 70% that they themselves voted in favor of. I must say that everyone should find a job where they can vote to raise their wages, especially during the war. Following the announcement, the Ukrainians expressed their gratefulness for having such leaders.
The countrymen commented under the posts of announcement:
“They raised their salaries, and let people collect for the army!!!”
“They are very generous to themselves, the parasites are cursed.”
“This is where all the money that the world sends us goes.”
Salary raise is the first thing you do when your country is at war and you are receiving billions of dollars from foreign countries, and the files show that’s exactly what happened in this case.
When it comes to military aid, the majority of the weapons don’t even make their way to the front lines. CBS released a documentary by the name “Arming Ukraine”, which documented that out of the billions of dollars worth of weapons being sent to Ukraine, only 30% make it to the front lines.
"It drops into a big black hole, and you have almost no sense of it at all after a short period of time," said one source to CNN.
Here’s what Ivan - a Ukrainian soldier since 2014 - has to say about the situation:
“We, the Ukrainian soldiers, have nothing,” said Ivan.
“The things the soldiers have been given to use in the war came directly from volunteers. The aid that goes to our government will never reach us.”
“Imagine telling an American soldier that we are using our personal cars in the war, and we’re also responsible for paying for repairs and fuel. We’re buying our own body armor and helmets. We don’t have observation tools or cameras, so soldiers have to pop their heads out to see what’s coming, which means at any moment, a rocket or tank can tear their heads off.”
Let me get this straight: Humanitarian aid is not used for humanitarian purposes and most of the military aid doesn’t even make its way to where it’s intended. Then what does “supporting” Ukraine even mean?
The current tactic of “supporting” Ukraine via sending aid is hurting Ukraine more than it supports the nation. And when I say Ukraine, I mean ordinary people like you and me, not the politicians or corrupt entities. It is just prolonging the war and prolonging the suffering of Ukrainians.
They should either involve directly and support Ukraine directly by fighting against Russian army or they should advocate for peaceful negotiations. But they have chosen this third path of “supporting” Ukraine indirectly because the former may lead to a nuclear confrontation and the latter doesn’t fulfill the US’s goal to “weaken” Russia.
If you are cheering up on your country’s decision to “help” Ukraine either with money or weapons, then what you are really cheering up for is the following:
You are cheering up the Ukrainian politicians filling up their greedy bellies with the foreign aid instead of using it for the Ukrainians.
You are cheering up the Western military-industrial complex using the taxpayers’ money to enrich themselves.
You are cheering up on the weapons going into the wrong hands.
I am not saying no one should send any kind of aid to the Ukrainians. Don’t get me wrong. But, as shown above, the current way of “supporting” Ukraine has become a source of suffering for the Ukrainians. If you want to support Ukraine, you should either go to the warzone and start fighting against the Russians instead of warmongering at the social media sitting comfortably inside your homes OR you should advocate for peaceful negotiations.
I stand for the latter. Which one do you stand for?
