LETTER #34: Inflation is Slavery of the 21st Century.
"The worst thing about slavery is that slaves eventually get to like it." - Aristotle.
Recently, I was reading Peter Thiel’s masterpiece ” Zero to One.” On page no. 74, Peter explains what happens when we blindly believe the conventional wisdom and stop looking for the secrets left to be uncovered in the world.
If this is what we think, we might start treating injustice as justice. In a world where we no longer look for secrets, wrongful practices become a part of society, and demanding justice becomes “terrorism”.
Discovering the secrets require work and we have to force ourselves to look for them. We have to look where no one else is looking. If we are looking only at what we know or have been taught, we are not finding secrets.
In the early 19th century, many people believed that slavery is a norm. They never tried to look beyond that because they were led to believe that they can’t flourish without them being enslaved by others. It was conventional wisdom back then. “Slavery is injustice”, was a secret for the masses.
But some abolitionists knew the secret, which was “Slavery is injustice”. They kept on fighting for their people, making efforts to wake them up to this secret. Eventually, they found success, and we were able to break the chains of slavery. “Slavery is evil” is a convention today, but back then, it was still a secret. Had the abolitionists – like the masses – also believed that slavery is a part of human existence, we could never be free, and humanity could never grow in the way it has grown after being free.
Slavery could never be abolished from within the system. We had to think outside the box. We had to unlearn everything we had been told or led to believe.
With that being said, the masses of today have come to believe that inflation or the loss of purchasing power of their money is a part of the economy. Without it, the economy will never grow and there has to be a central party managing the money supply. It is a norm in today’s society.
Just like the abolitionists of the early 19th century, there’s a tiny minority today – called Bitcoiners – that knows this is injustice. It’s equivalent to a thief taking away your earnings every month by letting you believe that it is for your “greater good”. But, Bitcoiners know that we never needed central banks. We have found the tool which will help us win the war against the central banks. It will help us break the chains of inflation slavery. We are educating the world every day so that they can discover the secret as well. We are keeping the fire of Financial Freedom burning. As more and more people wake up to the slavery we are in, “Inflation is slavery” will become a convention. Today, for most people, it’s a secret.
The chains of inflation slavery can never be broken if we keep looking for solutions from within the system. Bitcoin is a tool that helps us think outside the box. I agree that removing the decades-long convention with new ideas that empower individuals brings destruction at first, but the growth that we can achieve after being free can’t be measured. We can grow up to infinity, seriously.
FINAL THOUGHT….
The Great Awakening is happening.
