Why the Ukraine war is not ending?
It’s been more than seven months now and the US-led proxy war in Ukraine against Russia continues with no signs of ending. Instead of ending, the war is escalating quickly into a more dangerous phase, and the calls for diplomacy, de-escalation or detente are ridiculed & ignored as “appeasement” by the Western brainwashed automatons and the war hawks.
After seven months of ignoring diplomacy, demonizing those who advocate for peace talks, and appreciating the escalations toward Russia, we’re at a point where the prospect of a nuclear war is real. Like real real. At times like these, the only sane thing to do is to de-escalate, but whenever you kick start the conversation regarding the war in Ukraine that involves making peace deals with Putin, you’re seen as a madman supporting the monstrous madman.
If you live in the Western world, stop a person walking down the road and ask him whether he supports having peace talks with Putin, the most likely answer you’ll get will be “Why should we negotiate with a dictator who invades sovereign countries? Instead of having peace talks with, he should be defeated on the battlefield.”
Because in their worldview - the one set up by the constant media consumption - Putin is an epitome of evil who invades countries for no reason other than because he loves destruction and hates freedom. The lens with which they are made to perceive the war in Ukraine focuses intensely on what’s been happening after the day invasion took place while giving no attention at all to the events that led to that invasion, and that’s on purpose.
If you can make the public parrot the narrative that the Ukraine invasion was “unprovoked,” you can make them support all of your escalatory policies toward Russia because no one would want to negotiate with a psychopath determine to rule the world through invasions. No one would want to negotiate with a freedom-and-democracy-hating tyrant, especially among the Western population that is propagandized about having the most of both of them.
“If we don’t stop Putin here, he will keep invading countries like Hitler,” is a kind of statement uttered by those who immediately think of a demon with the word “unprovoked” written on his back whenever they hear Putin’s name. This is the biggest impediment to peace in Ukraine. As long as this narrative that the Ukraine invasion was “unprovoked” stays relevant among the mainstream Western public, it will never force its leaders to de-escalate and have negotiations with Putin; instead, it will criticize those who say such a thing.
We’ve talked about it in one of the articles already that the invasion of Ukraine was provoked by NATO, but no one in the Western media or the political class dares to admit it.
Admitting that they provoked the Russian bear would mean their escalatory policies toward Russia can’t be continued. They can’t say that we provoked Russia while also announcing a military package for Ukraine in the same breath. The Western public would never support playing nuclear brinkmanship with Russia if it’s told by the media that their governments have spent years provoking Russia, the kind of provocations that no sovereign country would tolerate. That’s the reason that those pushing for more escalations that can lead to a direct standoff between the top two nuclear-armed nations look anti-war while those calling for detente are understood as pro-war by the mainstream public.
There are only ways by which any war meets its end: one being continued destruction until one party is brought to its knees, and the other being both parties making concessions.
In regards to the war in Ukraine, concessions have been demonized because “Putin is Hitler” and, therefore, the only path left is continued destruction, death, and reckless spending of money until Russia is defeated.
The representation of Putin in the West seems to be more related to a fictional character than a real-life human being. Only in a movie would the idea of someone invading countries for no reason seem reasonable, but in this case, we’re talking about a real man in the real world. Just think about it critically.
For the war to end in the most peaceful way, the narrative that the invasion of Ukraine was “unprovoked” needs to end first, but the narrative managers of the US empire have a vested interest in not letting that happen, and therefore, the war keeps prolonging and escalating simultaneously.
